MOIP500P 500MHz Optical-fiber Isolated Probe

The MOIP series SigOFIT optical-fiber isolated probe provides galvanic isolation between the probe tip and the oscilloscope for accurate high-bandwidth differential measurements in the presence of large common-mode voltages. Fiber-optic transmission separates the DUT from the scope ground, supporting common-mode voltages up to 85 kVpk while preserving wideband fidelity into a universal BNC output (50 Ω scope input recommended).

This model offers 500 MHz bandwidth with ≤700 ps rise time. Typical CMRR is 180 dB at DC and remains high at RF (114 dB at 500 MHz). Interchangeable attenuator tips cover millivolt- to kilovolt-class differential ranges; standard tips include OP50 (MMCX) ±25 V and OP5000 (MCX) ±2500 V. Optional tips extend the differential range for higher-voltage power and SiC/GaN switching work.

Applications include switch-mode power supplies, motor drives, new-energy inverters, and third-generation semiconductor device characterization, where high-frequency common-mode noise would otherwise corrupt conventional differential or single-ended probes.
