The 3 Series MDO combines a mixed-domain oscilloscope with an optional built-in spectrum analyzer path for time- and frequency-domain debug on one instrument. Analog channels, digital MSO inputs (optional), and RF analysis help correlate EMI, wireless, and embedded events without moving cables between boxes.

Typical configurations provide 2 or 4 analog channels with bandwidths from about 100 MHz to 1 GHz, multi-GS/s sampling, and a modern touch-enabled display. Optional AFG, digital channels, and serial decode packages cover common embedded buses. The integrated spectrum analyzer hardware (model/option dependent) supports RF measurements alongside conventional scope triggering.

Use cases include education, embedded design, power supplies, and RF interference troubleshooting where a single mid-range instrument needs to cover both oscilloscope and basic spectrum analysis tasks.
