The CSD series ultrafast coaxial current shunts (UFCS) are pure-resistor coaxial shunts for measuring fast pulsed currents in SiC and GaN power circuits, where iron-core current probes suffer heating and loss. The coaxial resistor structure keeps stray inductance extremely low, giving bandwidths up to 2 GHz and rise times down to 175 ps with a flat, distortion-free response.
Two mounting styles share the same resistance values: the CSD***B wire type is soldered to the PCB through two pins, while the CSD***M bolt type is fixed with a single nut so it can be installed and removed repeatedly. Connect the BNC output to an oscilloscope channel set to 50 Ω input impedance.
