The CGC-510E is a battery-powered conducted comb generator and LISN reference signal source covering 100 kHz to 115 MHz — ideal for FCC Part 15 Subpart B and EN 55032 / CISPR 32 conducted emissions test site verification.
User-selectable 100 kHz or 500 kHz step size — choose 100 kHz for higher-resolution baseline data near the lower band edge or 500 kHz for fast sweeps with cleaner spectral lines on the EMI receiver.
High impedance to external line voltage (AC or DC up to 230 V) — allows safe use while the LISN is connected to an external power source, no need to disconnect mains between verification checks.
NEMA 15-P plug connects directly to the LISN EUT power port — standard three-blade interface for North American LISNs; adapters accommodate international socket types.
Simulates an EUT generating conducted EMI noise — replicates real-device operating conditions for verification of LISN impedance, RF cabling, transient limiter, and EMI receiver under realistic loading.
Daily verification of CISPR conducted emissions test setups — quick checks at 150 kHz, 500 kHz, 5 MHz, and 30 MHz catch LISN drift, oxidized connectors, and spectrum analyzer attenuator failures before they corrupt compliance data.
18+ hours battery operation on internal 6 V / 1 Ah NiMH; battery elimination of external power leads prevents noise coupling into the conducted measurement. 50 ppm frequency stability, ±0.1 dB amplitude stability.
Compact 5 × 2.2 × 2.2″ (13.2 × 5.9 × 5.9 cm), 1 lb (0.45 kg). NIST-traceable calibration; ISO 17025 available on request. Three-year warranty.
